Balfour Beatty Infrastructure to Build Bridge, Rail Station in Culver City
(ATLANTA) - Balfour Beatty Infrastructure, Inc. has won a bid to build
a rail
bridge and elevated rail station in for the Exposition Metro Line
Construction Authority in Culver City, CA. The 14-month project is
worth more than $22 million. The start date is tentatively April 1, but
the project may begin earlier.
"Geographically,
this project will be very close to our Route 405 job in Culver City, so
we're familiar with the area," said Jim Moynihan, president and CEO of
Balfour Beatty Infrastructure. "It's another win for us in a
competitive California market. We're looking forward to providing
residents with these structures, which are designed to ease traffic and
offer commuters another transportation option."
The team will
build the superstructure and elevated platform for the Venice/Robertson
Rail Station near I-10, along with a bridge for the rail. The bridge
will require 7,000 cubic meters of concrete.
