- Balfour Beatty Infrastructure, Inc., a leading heavy civil
engineering contractor, has been awarded a $93 million contract by the
East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) for the construction of the
Folsom South Canal Connection Project in the Sacramento and San Joaquin

The full scope of the project
includes the construction of two 100 million gallon per day pumping
plants; a flow meter splitter structure; two electrical substations;
over 3700 linear feet of cement-lined, mortar-coated steel pipeline; 20
miles of fiber-optic cable; and associated roadways and landscaping.
The project is scheduled to begin July 2007 and is estimated to be
completed by May 2010.
