Water Treatment Plant Job Gets Another Award for Excellence
(SAN FRANCISCO) - The Roseville Water Treatment Plant expansion has won a
2009 Project Achievement Award from the Construction Management
Association of America (CMAA). The organization recognized phase 3 of
the project under the "infrastructure projects exceeding $20 million"
category.
Balfour Beatty Infrastructure, Inc. completed the $32
million project in November 2008, expanding the plant's capacity from
60 million to 100 million gallons per day.
"This is the second
award for the Roseville project," said Jim Moynihan, president and CEO
of Balfour Beatty Infrastructure. "I'm very proud of the team, which
finished up this job under budget and early. It's great they're getting
all this recognition."
The previous award came from the American
Public Works Association, which honored the Roseville project in
September 2008 as Project of the Year.
Nolte Associates, Inc.,
the project manager working with Balfour Beatty Infrastructure,
accepted the award at the CMAA Northern California Chapter's banquet in
San Francisco on April 16. Balfour Beatty Infrastructure was able to
perform all the extensive work for the City of Roseville without
disrupting the flow of drinking water. In addition to expanding the
plant's capacity, the team installed an ultraviolet disinfection
system. The work began in February 2006.
