Balfour Beatty Infrastructure team selected to complete major tollway
job in Texas
(IRVING, Texas) - Balfour Beatty Infrastructure, Inc., an industry-leading civil engineering
contractor, has been selected by The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) to work with a joint
venture partner on a major design-build tollway in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.
The contract, which is expected to be about $415 million, entails phase four of the State Highway 161
Tollway. Joint venture Prairie Link Constructors will provide corridor improvements on two toll lanes,
which span about 6.5 miles. Fluor Corp. is a member of the joint venture with Balfour Beatty
Infrastructure.

completed several successful projects for the NTTA," said Jim Moynihan, president and CEO of
Balfour Beatty Infrastructure. "Our goal is to complete this exciting project safely and on time with as
little disruption to the community as possible."
The contract calls for direct connector ramps, slip ramps, overpass
bridges, underpass bridges and
main lanes from Interstate Highway 20 to north of Interstate Highway
30. The main lane construction
will consist of two concrete-paved, general-purpose lanes in each
direction. Design work is scheduled to begin in September 2009. The
start dates for much of the project is still
dependent on the timing of the NTTA's financing.
Prairie Link Constructors is a joint venture between Balfour Beatty Infrastructure and Fluor and will
include the services of a number of a number of firms including: AECOM (lead design), Halff
Associates (drainage design), and PSI (independent quality assurance/control).
