Homestead Grays Bridge
Balfour Beatty Infrastructure, Inc. completed the two-year $37 million project a month ahead of schedule for a ribbon-cutting in October 2007. The work included structural steel repairs, ramp reconstruction, bearing replacements, various substructure concrete repairs, widening and placement of new asphalt on the bridge's deck. Balfour Beatty Infrastructure also replaced the sidewalks and traffic barriers, and repainted of the entire structure.

The 3,000-foot-long bridge is adjacent to a commercial marketplace built on the former site of U.S. Steel's Homestead Works. The bridge was repainted gray to match the uniform color of the historic Homestead Grays African-American baseball team made up of steelworkers.
