Route 405 Culver City

Located in one of the busiest areas in California, the section of Route
405 passing through Culver City is among the most important traffic
arteries serving greater Los Angeles. Balfour Beatty Infrastructure,
Inc. completed complex expansion and improvement work in this
highly populated area while managing traffic to minimize disruption.
The scope of Balfour Beatty Infrastructure's activities included
widening about five miles of an extremely busy freeway and 13 bridges,
constructing reinforced concrete retaining walls, drainage and sewer
modifications, with placement of 33,400 M3 of concrete pavement.
The project was designed to increase capacity, improve traffic flow,
reduce congestion, and enhance safety.
